The Meinl Pickup Turbo Slaptop Cajon is designed to give you the ultimate playing experience when extra amplification is needed, equipped with dials to mix your sound. With bass and snare volume knobs, you can individually dial in each frequency for a well-balanced tone and mix. A quarter-inch cable jack allows you to send your signal through any amp or PA system (cables not included). Additionally, this cajon features a quarter-inch “link” jack that lets you connect other Meinl passive pickup instruments through the cajon's system and control their output with the cajon's dials. This helps eliminate the need for additional amps or outputs to simplify your setup.
This cajon is ideal for any plugged-in outdoor show, large venue, or intimate acoustic coffee house set, as it is extraordinarily versatile for any setting. The unique T-shape design of this cajon allows for upright playing. By keeping your back straight with the playing surface in your lap, you can play your cajon grooves as usual. The walnut playing surface with fixed internal snares on both sides delivers outstanding slap tones and punchy bass notes. Playing toward the middle produces bass hits, while playing closer to the sides creates snare sounds. The Baltic birch resonating body in black reflects the sound for a clear tone, and forward-facing sound ports help the cajon project in acoustic settings.
This full-sized Pickup Turbo Slaptop Cajon measures 18 ½” L x 14 ¼” H x 9 ½” D and comes with internal Piezo pickups that allow you to control volume and tone through a PA system or amplifier, boosting your sound in any venue. The walnut playing surface produces deep bass and crisp snare tones, and the Baltic birch resonating body with a large forward-facing bass port gives you a fuller low-end tone. The pickups do not require batteries - simply plug into an amp or PA with a quarter-inch cable, adjust the dials, and start playing. There are two dials and two quarter-inch jacks - one for mixing your tone and the other for sending your signal to an amp or PA.
